Clay County Utility Authority Executive Director Jeremy Johnston will give an overview of the CCUA and their future plans and projects.


Jeremy Johnston began his service as CCUA’s Executive Director in March 2020. He is responsible for overseeing the entire utility, including protecting public health by providing safe, reliable, and affordable drinking water, wastewater treatment, and reclaimed water service. Mr. Johnston leads the development of long-term strategic plans to conserve our natural resources and create long-term value for ratepayers. He oversees a staff of over 180 dedicated employees who provide quality customer service throughout Clay County.

Mr. Johnston previously served as the Chief Operations Officer of CCUA for approximately six years and as a Utility Engineer for two years. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biological Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. Mr. Johnston also holds a license in Florida as a Professional Engineer.
